Trundle Beds Just in Time for Surprise Guests

A trundle bed can be a great way to make room for surprise guests. They are so quick and easy to just pull out for anyone you have staying over. This is a great idea if you have a room that you want to get as much usable space out of as possible. Many people enjoy trundle beds in their children's room because they are great for sleepovers and very good if grandpa and grandma unexpectedly decide to stay over.

The most common way to set up a trundle bed is under a day bed. This works out great since day beds are also considered multi-function pieces of furniture. You might have a living room or family room with a day bed with trundle in it. This can look like a couch or sitting area and when surprise guests come over, it can be the perfect place to pull out a bed for them.

This is an excellent way to make the most out of your space and keep a room that you can quickly and easily put together for surprise guests. When choosing a great trundle bed for these types of occasions, the first choice is to see how much space you have. Once you know how much room you have to work with, you can choose the right trundle for your needs.

Trundle beds can easily be tucked away out of the main area so you can do more with your room. The bed can literally be hid away and you can get the most from your space in that particular room. Some of these trundle beds come out low to the floor, giving you two twin-sized beds. Others have a feature that lets the trundle be raised so that you get a full-sized bed from it. Depending on which type you have, you will need sheets and bedding to fit.

But the next time your family gets snowed in while visiting or one of your children's friends has an emergency and needs to stay over at your house, you can quickly and easily pop a bed out for them. No more worrying about where they will sleep or making anyone stay on an uncomfortable couch.

When setting up this type of situation for surprise or unexpected guests, keep a few things in mind to make it easier for you. First, you need to remember that the area of floor in front of where the trundle will come out needs to be kept clean and free of objects or other furniture. If you have a piece of furniture there, it should be something that can easily be moved when the situation calls for you to pull out the bed.

To protect your trundle beds when they are not being used, it's a good idea to cover the mattresses with sheets. You won't be able to keep full bedding on here but you can store the bedding somewhere else nearby so it's fully ready when you need it.
